At Oxford Green Homes, we specialise in constructing houses using concrete panel walls, offering superior strength, durability, and energy efficiency compared to traditional construction methods. Our focus on sustainable practices and commitment to delivering 7+ star energy ratings set us apart from other builders.
While our USP is our OG Panels, we do build traditional homes as we are a builder first and foremost. We make sure our customers have the information required to make an informed decision and deliver energy efficient, quality homes, regardless of the selected construction methodology.
-
Oxford Green’s ‘OG Panels’ places the thermal mass on the inside of the wall as opposed to the outside, which is typical in traditional brick veneer construction. OGH panels are so energy efficient, only sarking (reflective foil) is required to the external walls in most cases to reach a minimum 7 star rating, however additional insulation can be added to further boost the energy rating of the home.
-
OG Panels are made with concrete. Concrete panel walls provide excellent thermal insulation, reducing energy consumption and resulting in lower heating and cooling costs. They also offer superior sound insulation, enhancing the comfort and privacy of the home. Additionally, concrete panel walls are highly durable and resistant to pests, fire, and extreme weather conditions.
Oxford Green uses concrete from local batching plants and Australian produced reinforcement steel in its OG Panels, keeping jobs local.

Oxford Green is a residential builder first and foremost. We build quality homes, whether it is traditionally using timber or steel frames, or utilising our patented OG Panels. It is important to us that we provide the option to our clients as well as the education to understand the differences.

We have developed an innovative (and provisional patent) building system and utilise advanced construction techniques to optimise energy efficiency. Our walling system, including our provisional patent concrete panel walls, combined with carefully selected insulation materials and energy efficient design principles all work together to deliver the 7+ star energy rating.
-
Changes to legislation will require all new Australian homes to be built to a minimum 7 star standard per the Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NathERS) – up from the previous 6 star minimum. On an average 242sqm home, the higher star rating will result in an annual energy saving of about 2178MJ in Brisbane and 6292MJ in Adelaide. At a rate of 30 cents per MJ, annual savings on energy bills are estimated to range between $653 and $1,887 per year, depending on where you build.

Our building system offers flexibility and customisation options to meet the diverse needs of homeowners. We have curated a range of architecturally designed homes that are carefully crafted to suit the modern Australian lifestyle. These house designs have undergone value engineering to ensure they provide exceptional value and functionality. While one-off builds are catered for via our architecturally designed range of homes, our system can be tailored to suit custom requirements if there is sufficient volume. Please get in touch with our team to talk through the available options.

Yes, Oxford Green provides optional upgrade packs which include, foilboard wall insulation, solar panels and battery backup for our homes, allowing you to harness energy from the sun, and to store it - reducing your energy bills even further.

At this stage, OG Panels are suitable for most single-story scenarios on a level building pad and this is predominantly due to manufacturing efficiencies. If steps are required in the slab, or the project is 2 storey construction, we will typically construct with traditional timber or steel frame external walls. As we say, we are a builder first, and patented product manufacturer second, but always environmentally conscious!
-

Our homes are designed with eco-friendly principles in mind, incorporating features such as energy-efficient materials, local manufacturing, and environmentally conscious construction practices.
-

However, our streamlined building process and expertise in working with concrete panel walls allow us to deliver homes efficiently without compromising quality. On average, you can expect a shorter construction time compared to traditional construction methods.

Yes! Not only do we have local building teams and suppliers in both states we operate, we have established manufacturing facilities for our concrete panel production in each state too. We are careful to ensure these facilities are in the predominant building corridors and as close as possible to the concrete plant to minimise transport kilometres.
